For the Holidays in 2020, members of the Wright Lab banded together to raise more than $500 for families staying at Ronald McDonald House Charities South Central Ontario (RMHCSCO).
Under normal circumstances we would have loved to be in the kitchen preparing a meal for families, but we were glad to still be able to support the house during these challenging times.
The funds went to adopt a meal in early 2021, for families staying at the house through the Meals that Heal program – an initiative that offers residents a home-cooked meal seven nights a week, 365 days a year.
Remaining donations went towards paying for accommodations, additional food and yummy snacks for families.
RMHCSCO provides a “home away from home” for families of children who are seriously ill and being treated at nearby hospitals.
