Manoj joined the lab in October 2021. He finished his Ph.D from CSIR-Institute of Microbial Technology, India. Manoj is an applied microbiologist with expertise in the isolation and biological evaluation of new antimicrobial compounds from microbes. Outside the lab, Manoj loves travelling, watching movies, and jogging.
Manoj's research interest in the Wright lab is the isolation of novel antibiotics from microbes that target difficult-to-treat Gram-negative bacteria, especially Acinetobacter baumannii. His research project also focuses on the design of natural products-based synthetic peptides to tackle these bacteria.
