About:

Layla joined the lab in Fall 2025 for a co-op term working under Wen Wang. She is a fifth-year chemical biology undergraduate who has prior experience working with natural product extraction and purification, along with organic synthesis in the Brown Lab and Berti Lab. Outside of the lab, she enjoys baking and embroidery.

Research Interests:

Her research project is upscaling and optimizing and the fermentation, extraction and purification of Rimomycin compounds from Streptomyces rimosus.
