Erica Muscat

Position: Undergraduate Thesis Position

About:

Erica joined the lab in May 2025, first as a research assistant and will continue as a fourth-year undergraduate thesis student. She is currently in the Biomedical Research Specialization of the Biochemistry program. Outside of the lab, Erica enjoys Irish dancing and reading, so much so that she is a member of the McMaster Book Club.

Research Interests:

Erica is currently working on a biosynthesis project, extracting and characterizing a natural product of a Streptomyces strain for further analysis of its antibiotic activity.
