About:

Divya joined the lab in July 2022 after finishing her PhD in Biochemistry (2020) at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, India. Divya worked as a research scientist for 2 years in an immuno-oncology company before joining the lab. Divya is a molecular microbiologist specializing in the study of microbial physiology and metabolism. In her spare time outside the lab, Divya likes cooking and listening to music.

Research Interests:

Divya's research interests in the Wright Lab is focused on developing genomic and synthetic biology platforms for the high-level production of priority natural products. She is working on capturing and heterologous expression of terpenoids for improved production.
