Adam joined the Wright lab in October of 2018 after receiving his PhD in Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Outside of work, Adam enjoys reading, jigsaw puzzles, playing Magic the Gathering, performing with poi, designing Lego models, and karaoke (regardless of whether it's warranted or not).
Adam is interested in the discovery and characterization of antibiotic adjuvants. His current project focuses on identifying inhibitors of the resistance enzyme Cfr, an rRNA methyltransferase which grants resitance to various classes of ribosome-targeting antibiotics.
