Manpreet joined the Lab in October 2019, she obtained her PhD degree from Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research, India. She carried out her research work at CSIR-Institute of Microbial Technology, India. Manpreet is an applied microbiologist, specializing in the isolation of new bacterial species and the discovery of bioactive natural products. When not in the lab, she likes dancing, drawing, listening to music and exploring nature.
Manpreet’s research is focused on the exploration of antimicrobial compounds against multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria. She is also working on soil functional metagenomics to identify new antibiotic-resistant genes.
