Emily joined the lab in May of 2017 as a Ph.D. student after completing both a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and a Master of Science in Biotechnology at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario. Outside of research, Emily is working towards her black belt in karate and enjoys playing video games.
Emily's research project focuses on characterizing the resistance mechanisms that threaten the success of repurposing the aminoglycoside apramycin from veterinary medicine to clinical use.
