Shyan joined the lab this year for his 4th year biochemistry thesis project. His interest in antimicrobial resistance lies in its molecular complexity and its widespread impact on clinical practice. Outside of the Wright Lab, Shyan is an emergency medical responder, cardiac rehabilitation researcher, and intramural sports supervisor. If Shyan isn't in the lab or reading literature, he's probably binging Netflix.
Shyan is designing an assay for a high throughput antifungal agent screen of the Natural Product Library.
